Still Pushing

Run: 7.4km @ 39min (Ottawa River)

With my first race of the year coming, I wanted to toughen up today in two ways:
  1. Sustained hard efforts, and
  2. Running tired.
I opted for the hilly route that goes around Parliament Hill, cross the Ottawa River twice, and goes behind the Museum of Civilization. I wanted tempo effort of above, and I held that for sure. I think that the overall time is one of the fastest I've ever done this loop at, and given I started out tired I'm really happy with my resiliency.

Tomorrow I'm planning on a 90min run (distance is irrelavent), and Saturday will be a rest day in preparation for Sunday's race.
